Uli's hammer mugo

What is called a killer tree in English we call a hammer tree. This is a super hammer-killer mugo pine. Uli Ernst collected this in fall of 2006. Now the buds are coming out strongly. It looks like it has a high chance to make it. Anyway, this is the most spectacular piece of raw material that I have ever seen.
The big spruce looks modest compared to it.

Hello Mr Pall,
do you know what happened to this killer tree?

It's waiting to be rady for styling. Such trees take five to ten years to establish.
