Bonsai Academy in Brazil 2012 #5

For the second demo I got this what they called Juniperus communis, while I think it was a Juniperus procumbens with Itogawa grafted on it. Anyway, it seemed challenging at the start.
This was interesting for the group. But they have had too many big names showing them how to style conifers which they don't really have in that country. While I really enjoyed working on this juniper it was more to show that I can also do this. In Brazil I would always stress to work with indigenous broadleaved material. And then produce something looking like a real tree and not looking like a bonsai. this this juniper demo might have been slightly counter productive.
