Bonsai Academy in Dusseldorf, Germany 2012 #4
What we call 'Potenzialerkennung' (learning to see the potential in material) happens on the first day of such a weekend. First I present the cave analogy, then a lengthy general lecture about how to see potential and how to start anyway. Then I do a tree inspiration (tree critique ) with all trees that folks brought and also with some form the shop or exhibit. There I also did a tree inspiration of some trees in the Bonsai Museum. Luan had the chance to speak about the sabina juniper that he has edited recently.

A few nice trees there walter...Looks like it was cold, you guys were all wearing big coats.
