Bonsai in California-2009-#4-Chikugo-en in LA

This nursery is run by Gary Ishii who took it over from Masaru Ishii who is still working there though.And one can see that they are working. The quality of the trees is outstanding. Especially in the class of very small to medium sized bonsai this is one of the best nurseries I have ever had the pleasure to visit. This one is a must see in LA.

    Of course not. It is strictly forbidden. And then the best trees are not for sale.

    Prices for real quality trees are not much different from Europe. Prices for good raw material are lower.

    Are there federal customs laws that prohibit? I thought you took collected pondersona back to Germany from Colorado...

    The EU forbids import of trees from America. A few yeas ago it was still possible though.
